BMW South Africa review in Pretoria, Gauteng: Ill-treated by dealership

I took my car to Auto glen for service. I am sure they accidentally deactivate my alerts for service. The car didn't alert me it's due for service. I went to the dealership. The dates were faulty. After the August service it would still say service due. Now they put a note next to my car on the system. I am informed should my engine give me problems you won't fix my car. I need that not removed or an additional information why the car was late for service. Check my history with my previous cars. Regards Elias 0827192364

BMW South Africa - Club Motors Fountains Car Repair Review from Pretoria, Gauteng

This complaint is related to the experience I had at Fountains BMW in Pretoria. I took my 2004 645ci for repair on oil leaks on the engine and the quote I approved was in the region of 32k which I authorized after two weeks of assessment. When I followed up on the progress around the third week I was told that they have begun assessing and the quote has now escalated to more than 53k and still counting as it could go up while stripping. I was very disturbed by this as I could not understand why the amount I approved which was inclusive of parts that was already ordered, after assessment and or diagnostic had to change and become so exorbitant and mostly impacted by lab our which was estimated. I feel that I was not respected as a customer and or taken into confidence for the work that I desperately needed to be done by accredited institution. I have been taken for a ride and no option was given. I was left in the cold to figure out how to go about fixing my car. It should be noted that I have been paying the service out of my pocket without complaining since I understood that my car is old and out of service. I have now risked to take it to some mechanic who of course is accredited as a mechanic but not affiliated to any BMW which is accredited dealer. If this happened to me it would then be a forgone conclusion that it also happens to others this way. This was unprofessional and biased treatment which showed no regard for customers. I would like an intervention from BMW since I don't want to be an ambassador for rubbishing the reputation of this unique and beautiful brand. Thabo Makamane

BMW South Africa review in Pretoria, Gauteng: Poor customerservice

on the day my car was booked for service, I was phoned at 12:00pm that they haven't started with my car. Again at 15:30 I was phoned again that they couldn't get to my car, my respond to Moses and Korne was I wanted my car serviced as promised. after I phone customer service re the issue they advised the car will be done by Korne. I got my car back at 17:20 and was shocked that spark plugs/oil change/airfilter/micro filter was done in such short time and also that my service light still shows red even though they reseted it.

BMW South Africa review in Pretoria, Gauteng: Poor customer service from the dealer to BMW SA on Call

I have been purchasing all my vehicles at BMW Auto Alphina since 2007 where till now I have purchased 4 vehicles that are financed by BMW. Due to my deepest sadness and disappointment my current vehicle will probably be the last I buy from them. For the past 2 weeks I have been requesting and following up the request of a letter that is needed by my company due to the petrol card maitenance benefit I will be entitled to that needs to state my details, my car's details as well as the maintenance plan value and coverage. I have been sent all over, to request such a simple request. It seems that nobody knows how to assist me or who o assist me. I have also been referred to BMW SA on call that have promised to come back to me. I have followed up where eventually they said I needed to get a letter in letter head from my company in which it was emailed to them. When I tried to follow up, suddenly I was told that my request was going to be still be taken up with their management. It's is disappointing to know that 1 buys such an expensive car and only to get such a disastrous service.

The matter went to the motor ombudsman who is is the pocket of his paymaster being BMW, they have not proper technical capability. I back this up by their comment to check the dip stick.

Well if you know just a simple point BMW has not had a dip stick for nearly20 years.

They are a bunchofoldretired people who don't know anything nor do they read both parties correspondence but show that they only read what their paymaster tells them. Time a current affairs or carte Blanche program looked into theoperation
