BMW South Africa - Extremely poor service

I need a front left tyre for my 335 i. I contacter you service center. I explained that I hit a pot hole and my tyre was ripped. I managed to get my car home as I wast 2km from home. When I called and asked for assistance I was told that they only have X amount of spare wheels available. I will be chanding my brand of car in the next week. Don't provide me with BMW assist if you can't honour assistance. Sorry your plot failed, I need service and not promises that you can not honour. I've been driving BMW for fifteen years now. You don't carry a spare in a place called Mpumulanga ? Are you chronically unprepared or just plain negligent ? Even in civilized countries we carry a spare just in case.

BMW South Africa - Roadside Assistance Review

I recently bought a BMW 118i f20. I'm originally from cpt, but I stay in joburg. I decided to drive my car to Cape Town since my family hasn't seen it yet. The plan was that my cousins and I would would leave jozi in the early hours of the 24th. Go to vredendal and spend 2 days there because all my sisters kids including my own are there on holiday. Then drive to Cape Town where the rest of my family is. On our way to vredendal we hit a pothole and the tyre seemed fine for a while. We kept checking it and after a while noticed that it had a bubble and it was getting bigger. I phoned BMW on call to ask if it's safe for us to drive with it. I explained that the bubble is getting bigger and we are all scared to drive it like. I was told they can't help me because the car is still driveable. I asked what if burst and something worse happens? I was told that we must only phone then. The car finally gave warning signs as we got to Williston and we called BMW on call again, and we were advised to drive to a safer place. Evert the woman I spoke to said she would check if they have a tyre to loan me and would get back to me. After a while I decided to call and some guy, I think his name is Siphiwe or something said he'd ask her to phone us back. We waited again, I then phoned back. She said she was just about to call me yep yep which of course I didn't believe. She said they checked unfortunately they don't have a tyre to loan me. What they can do is tow my car to cpt since that is my final destination and they can then organise me a rental. She gave me the terms on the rental and told us the tow truck would come tow my car and she will phone me the following day regarding the rental. I waited for her call on the 25th and finally decided to phone them. I phoned and Evert was on a call, I explained to Siphiwe what happened he said evert would call me back. Evert said I must expect a call from Avis. I didn't hear from them again or Avis that day. I phoned on the 26th and was told they can organise a car for me from Avis langebaan, but Avis was closed i should get the car the following day. I waited and waited no call on the 27th. I then decided to just take a public taxi to cpt, which I'm writing this from. I phoned BMW on call again to find out the dealership my car was towed to. I spoke to some rude black woman, it wasn't Evert was someone else. It still doesn't make sense to me why someone would choose to do client service When they clearly don't know how to deal with people. When I asked about the car they said they'd organize for me, she said BMW doesn't get involved in organizing cars. I then said why would I be told to wait for a call from Avis. I told her I don't care about that anymore, I want my car. She told me you don't just go to a dealership you wait for it to call you. I phoned the dealership where my car was towed to (century) to find out if my car is ready, if not when it will be the guy I spoke to said he couldn't find my car in the system. He said he'll check and get back to me, that was over 2hrs ago. Thanks BMW for ruining my holiday, I'm highly disappointed. I should be enjoying myself but instead I've been stuck in one place for days without a car. Vredendal gets too hot and I couldn't even take the kids to the beach because I don't have a car. I hate being inconvenienced, the reason I have a car is so that I can go where ever whenever. I should have just called my insurance to tow my car and take it to a tyre fitment center.
